Social, environment and
economic effects caused due to climate change are of incredible concern in
developing nations like Pakistan. Pakistan is as often as possible facing
natural dangers like floods and dry spell. These dangers, when joined with
susceptibilities like poverty and wrong political decisions, make people more
defenseless against impacts of these risks.
Pakistan's greenhouse
gases emissions have increased doubled in most recent 2 decades. On a worldwide
scale Pakistan positions 135th in per capital GHG emissions on the world. The
agriculture part is the victim of unexpected climate change in a country.
65-70% of nation's population is directly or indirectly connected to
agriculture.
The accessibility of fresh
water is for the most part affected by climate change. The water assets of Pakistan
are rare which directly relates with food insecurity, particularly in rural
zones. The dry and semi-dry zones are the most helpless against environmental
change as these areas are already into situation of lack of water and high
temperature. The seasonal changes are
changing sowing time for crops which thus changes water system prerequisites
which adjust the properties of soil and increase the danger of pest and disease
attack, contrarily altering agricultural productivity.
The ongoing studies show
that Pakistan's 22.8% land and 49.6% population is in danger because of effects
of environmental change. The diseases which are transmitted by vectors for
instance malaria sickness, dengue cholera and so on that are the reason for low
death rate in Pakistan are climate sensitive. Environmental change
situations have brought about an increase in the epidemic potential for 12-27
percent for malaria fever and 31-47 percent of dengue.
So in the end there are many possible solutions available
for climate change, like the most important is more and more tress should be
planted. As our new government is doing this green Pakistan mission very well.
Another solution is the garbage should not be burned or bury in landfills,
recycling is one of the most effective ways to check carbon emission. Using Eco-friendly appliances and electric or hybrid vehicles should be preferred
more.
Government should start taking this problem seriously.
